May 1st Reboot, 2007
I have been working on a new design for my personal blog/website for a long time now. I don't even remember when I started on it. When you're a full-time web developer like myself, sometimes it's hard to find or make time to work on your own websites, which is really sad because I usually have the most fun working on my own websites.
I decided several weeks ago that I wanted to finish the new design so I could launch it for the May 1st Reboot. I still had a lot of little details I needed to finish. When I woke up this morning, I said to myself, "Oh crap. It's May 1st." So I came into the office early this morning and worked on the last finishing details of the new design. It's basically to a point where I'm pretty satisfied with it, but just like everything I do, I'm never completely satisfied. At any rate, since I was such a procrastinator, my reboot efforts probably don't count toward the official May 1st Reboot. I went on their site this morning, and it looks as if the sign up is closed. Oh well, at least I have the satisfaction of having my site updated with a fresh new look.
With this new design, I wanted to adhere to a strong six column grid and a wider fixed width for the sheer reason that I like the way designs look that are laid out on a grid.
Anyway, I hope people like the new design. Feel free to pass along any constructive comments.

You may have already gotten this message from your contacts screen. . . But if not, I really like your website. It's easy to navigate and reader friendly (which is definitely a compliment coming from me, since I know very little about tech stuff)!
