SuperStart!
Yesterday I launched the new SuperStart! website. For those who don't know, SuperStart! is Christ In Youth's preteen ministry. The about page on the website describes the ministry as one that "wishes to provide avenues for age-appropriate worship, relevant teaching, drama, and fun. You can expect the weekend to be filled with Biblical teaching, worship, enthusiasm, small group opportunities, and off-site recreation."
The SuperStart! website was a true joy to work on, even though at times I felt like I did when I first got the syllabus at the beginning of the semester in college. I've been at CIY for a little over two months and it is still my dream job, but it's a little overwhelming sometimes with all the work that needs to be done.
It's such a blessing to be able to go to work at a place like CIY and know you get to work with the talents God has given you and hopefully be able to let God use those talents to help win people to Christ. It's also an additional benefit to be able to work alongside the many other talented men and women here at CIY. I know there is a perception amongst some people that people in ministry are there because they couldn't "make it" in the real world. I find the opposite to be true. A lot of the people here have turned down lucrative contracts with big companies in order to come here and work. We chose to work here because we have felt God's calling, and what greater joy than working at a place where you know your purpose and your calling! I only hope and wish that all could someday find their calling.
Back to work on the Believe, Wilderness, and Discipleship websites.

Looking REALY good Brent! You are an AWESOME guy to have on our staff...
To many more site launches!
It turned out great, Brent. The star near the bottom looks like it works well now. I like the nice use of Google Maps, too.
Son, no prejudice here but once again I can see that you are in the right place. I praise God often for what you and your wonderful wife and family are doing what God wants you to do.
As usual your blog looks wonderful. What is the address of some of the CIF Websites that you have designed? Have you launched them yet?
