Let's Help
The new Let's Help, Inc. website is the newest website that I've developed under my company Epicserve. Let's Help came to me in the need of a complete website re-design. When they came to me they said their needs were to develop a website that was both professional and functional. Their old site was lacking the professional look that they were looking for, it wasn't that functional, and it was hard to maintain because they had to rely on one person to do the updates to the website.
I worked to draw up a site template that would be ethically pleasing as well as professional. Working with an existing brochure that was made for Let's Help, and which established the organizations branding, I developed a site template that complemented the existing branding and brochure.
After the overall look of the site was established, I worked with Let's Help to incorporate a content management system into the site. The content management system allowed Let's Help to keep the existing look of the site but increase its overall functionality by giving any employee of Let's Help the ability to simply submit news and events via a simple administrative website.
The website isn't fully done fully using CSS Layout techniques. The project was started long before I started learning about CSS Layout. If I had it to do over again I would definitely use CSS for layout. I'm still pleased with the overall look and feel of the site as well as the sites overall functionality. I'm happy to have it finally finished project, after what seems like a six months. The website wasn't that hard in its overall complexity. The reason that it took as long as it did was do more to getting the content for the website, which is something that I'm sure every web developer struggles with. I would be more than happy to hear any suggestions other developers have for getting content in a timely matter with out annoying or coming across as a nag to the client. Because that is the last thing you want to do is upset your client because after all they're the ones paying you!

It's cool, although being thirteen I don't understand it.
