My Beliefs
God
I believe that there is only one God and the God that I believe in is the one who created the earth and universe as well as everything in it. The God I believe in is a loving and caring God. I believe that the pain and suffering in this world is due to God loving us so much that he is willing to let us suffer for the consequences of our actions because God wants us to have free will and to love Him on our own account. I believe that God is involved in our lives and cares about us deeply. I do not believe that God just created the world and left it alone to do with as we please nor do I believe that God deeply cares about the little aspects of our life like what kind of tooth paste we choose. I believe that God is the same today as he was yesterday and that he will be the same until the end of time. And that is to say that I believe God is consistent and does not change.
The Son
I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and our Christ and savior and that it is necessary to believe this in order to be saved (John 3:16). I believe Jesus was born of a virgin birth and that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins that we might have eternal life in heaven. I also believe that he arose from the grave on the third day and that those who believe will see him again when he comes back to get us!
The Holy Spirit
I believe that the Holy Spirit is an important part of the Trinity of God. I believe that it is necessary to have the Holy Spirit inside you in order to be saved. I believe that you receive that Holy Spirit when you become a Christian. I believe that the Holy Spirit is who helps us to communicate between us and God and that the Holy Spirit can intercede on our behalf (Romans 8:27). I believe that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us and helps the church and us by giving us gifts to use in order t o help build the church and edify God. I believe that it is important to take the Holy Spirit Seriously simply from the standpoint that in scripture the only unforgivable sin is that of Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31).
Revelation
Revelation is the making known of something unknown. I believe that God makes His revelation known though Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, history, and nature. His revelation is there for all of us to see. We can see who God is by his creation because of how marvelous and great His creation is. We can see who God is by reading about what he has reveled to us in the Bible. And we can also see who God is buy seeing as Christians how the Holy Spirit works in our lives.
Scripture
I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. In that I believe the Holy Spirit is who guided and directed the authors of the Bible. I believe the Bible is perfect in that it does not contradict it self when interpreted with proper biblical hermeneutics. I believe that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Tim 3:16-17).
